Scholarships awarded to most qualified applicants who will work on
the student newspaper, the Volante.
Eligibility: High school seniors talented in print journalism.
Amount: $34,000.00 over
a four year period

Scholarship:
Eligibility: High school seniors who have an ACT composite of 24 or
above or SAT combined score of 1070 or above.
Must maintain a 3.2 or higher grade point average at the
University.

National Merit Corporation.

Scholarships awarded to resident semifinalist who are first-time
freshmen.
Eligibility: Semifinalists who specify USD as first choice to
National Merit Corporation.
Amount: Minimum award of $1,500 per year.

Alumni:
Four year scholarships covering resident tuition and academic fees.
Eligibility: High school seniors with a composite score of 27 or
above on the ACT or a 3.75 or higher grade point average.
